Another Uchi-kun's film, recommended by RR, which was aired in 2008. Finished it last week but was kind of tied-up to do a post.

With Aoi Yu chan as Osen, Okami of Isshouan, who doesnt reject people joining or resigning from Isshouan, and drinks in almost every episode and looks every bit a softie (bcos it seems like she'll collapse at any moment, drunk) than an okami; and Uchi-kun as Ezaki who quits from a fancy restaurant to join Isshouan for his aspiration of "real meishi".

Not too bad, worth a watch jus to see how Osen upholds the reputation of Isshouan amidst crisises such as lack of straw to cook its famous rice with a 200 pax order on its hands, Isshouan employee preparing Isshouan dishes outside Isshouan, entreprise buyover of their supplier, etc.

Completed!!

That's after... 12 hours(?) of camping in front of the monitor. Yeah, I'm a sucker for detective/investigative shows thou despite this I have not watched CSI yet cos I dun chase dramas on TV (too restrictive timings); the box sets are just bloody expensive and they'll just be collecting dust after watching; I'm against downloading but it will be another matter if I borrow it from someone AND I CANT FIND ANY STREAMINGS!!

Anyway, MR. BRAIN boosts a star-studded cast with Takuya being the lead (ah! I find some resemblance btwn him and Ekin, RR dun kill me!!), and guests such as Hirosue Ryoko, Gackt(he make a good psycho killer!), Kamenashi Kazuya (Kyohei!! Thou I prefer the specky him in MR BRAIN), blah blah.

There have been some comparisons between MR. BRAIN and Galileo but I dun find them really alike other than the fact that both focuses on science to solve crimes. Galileo does well with its down-to-earth crime busting using physics whereas MR. BRAIN brings u thru the forensic aspect with all the high-tech machines, which seems more like CSI, and human psychology.

Now I cant really choose btwn them but I would say MR. BRAIN didnt make me doze off during the 12 hr marathon, which is quite rare, and that I finished it all with only one Hitman Reborn interruption. And its making me interested in the brain!

Ahh.. need some sugar.. Lingustic capability deterioriating in the left hemisphere!~

Finale Review

The Easiest Way to be Depressed..

jus by opening the folder and glancing thru the unadopted kids can flood back memories.

Like those who ALMOST got adopted, those that kana cosmetic surgeries over and over again just bcos the prospective parent feel like it then end up dun wan, the one that end up they did an IVF themselves, the one that dunno wat happened, the one that reproduced 3 times in the wrong direction, the one that never made it to the prospective parent's hand, the request that was supposed to be for me but ended up somewhere else, the 9 that I gave birth prolifically in 2 weeks, the rest of them that no one wants.. (And yes, I do agree that most of them are crap)

If each of them takes an average of 4 hrs (P90), 44x4=176+(21x2)=216/24 ok that's like 9 days only out of 365 which is 2.5% of 2009 wasted. Looking at it this way somehow makes me feel better. HAHA! The numerical logic is good at keeping the senseless emotions in check!~

I'm hungry.. *gonna sleep it all away..

30 Seconds of Luck

Bandit (MapleStory)

Came across this MapleStory gashapon machine downstairs and spent a good few seconds staring at it, thinking to play or not. (Well, thot it was some keychain/pencil holder thingy only and most of them actually do not entice me to spend $1 on.. even thou its only a dollar..)

After getting watever I had to buy, I stopped in front of the machine again, peeking and thinking, if I can find a $1 coin in my cardholder (which actually I thot I spent all my $1 coins during lunch already), I would play it and hopefully get one of the characters and not the monsters.

As luck would have it, there's ONE $1 coin!! So I resigned to fate, inserted the coin, cranked the lever, grabbed the ball and walk out of the minimart(it was bloody stuffy). Only then did I start to think, I want the character I was playing.. i.e. Bandit (forgot then and there it was called a bandit).

Opened my fingers.. TADAH!! Not only was it a figurine, ITS A DIT!!

Felt so lucky for that 30 seconds. Fated that its mine!! WAHAHAHA!~

Full Set

Picked these up before going for the FM reunion dinner. As usual, the time spent waiting for 16 is still longer than the actual journey itself (<10 min from Raffles Hotel).


Normal Set

Pre-order only for full box (and not sure if they brought in any loose). Full box = 10 boxes, Full set = 7 figures, i.e. I'm paying for 3 more!! Like for WHAT!?! %@*&)$(*!

Anyway, set carries characters mainly from the Impel Down arc, other than Marguerite, whom I wonder why they did her instead of maybe Jimbei or Emporio Ivankov. Hmm.. ok, those 2 I named would probably waste a lot of space and plastics.. (Buggy and Mr 3 will look weird if only one of them is featured)

Variants

Variant features Ace with fire fist and Boa Hancock in another color. Nice touch to the Ace variant rather than just casting it in another color like Boa and the variants from other sets. Also another thumbs up for differentiating the base colors from the normal ones, cos I for one almost din realise the same-color-only-added-the-fire-fist-Ace-variant is a variant until I notice the yellow base (and turning back to realise Boa variant's base is yellow as well..) =.="


Fire Fist Ace

This is probably the last styling set I can squeeze into the display shelf which is now a bit dusty already. Had to stack some base on top of others to fit these 7 in. Bandai got to stop all these variant stuff when its jus going to be DIFFERENT colors.

Wake up call to either 1) stop buying; 2) go get another add on shelf and hope its not too dark or too cramped.

(2)actually sounds easier to fulfil. WAHAHHAHHA~
